The news: Early voting wrapped up Thursday, Oct. 29, so Tuesday, Nov. 3, is your last chance to vote. Along with the governor’s race, U.S. Senate, state legislative seats and three proposed amendments to the Tennessee Constitution, Bartlett voters get city races too.

The contested races: Three seats on the Bartlett Board of Mayor and Aldermen have more than one name on the ballot:

  • Alderman, Position 1: Jerry L. Jenkins and Harold Brad King (incumbent)
  • Alderman, Position 2: Cynthia “Cindy” Cromwell, Robert Griffin (incumbent) and Tim Schlum
  • Alderman, Position 3: Tamisha P. DuBose and David Reaves (incumbent)

Unopposed:

  • Mayor: David Parsons is the only candidate.
  • School Board, Position 2: Erin Elliott Berry, Republican Party nominee
  • School Board, Position 4: Bryan Woodruff, Republican Party nominee

Berry and Woodruff both already serve on the school board. Every race also has a write-in line.

Why the school board matters right now: The Bartlett Board of Education will be the group that picks the district’s next superintendent, after Dr. David Stephens announced this week that he’ll retire June 30, 2027.

How to vote on Election Day:

  • When: Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., according to the Shelby County Election Commission.
  • Where: On Election Day you must vote at your assigned polling place, not just any site. Look yours up, along with your sample ballot, at GoVoteTN.gov or electionsshelbytn.gov.
  • Bring: A federal or Tennessee government-issued photo ID.

Heads up: Your ballot depends on your address. Bartlett city races only show up for voters who live inside city limits, and your state House and Senate districts vary by neighborhood.

After the polls close: We’ll share Bartlett’s results once the Election Commission posts them.
